Eating healthy is generally all you need to do. And take your prenatal. Folic alid, iodine and DHA are the important things my nurse told me in the intake call. Leafy greens are great to eat. So salads if you want. Protein and fiber are a plus! Upping your calcium intake is a really good idea too. I've been drinking a glass of milk in the morning or having yoghurt or cottage cheese. Stay away from undercooked meat and eggs and deli meat. And the other normal things like alcohol and smoking. I have an app called pregnancy (its free) and it gives me food recommendations that are high in good nutrients for baby. I suggest a lot of others will too.

Generally, leafy greens, vegetables, and protein are important. Start taking a prenatal vitamin. limit caffeine. Drink all the water! I try to limit processed foods and high sugar content. I'm not great at that. These choices aren't necessarily set out as any standard. If you're concerned about a food, don't eat it. As long as you are in a developed country, the risk of food contamination is pretty low.

Literally all I'm craving is sugar/soda ALL THR DAMN TIME so I'm trying to make sure everything else I eat has at least some good stuff in - lots of salmon and veggies etc!

Trying to eat healthy is definitely a good thing. Or at least trying to maintain a balanced diet. With that being said, you really never know how things are going to change with your pregnancy. You could hate all the healthy things and all the bad things or you could be the complete opposite of that. Most doctors will tell you as long as you’re not eating terribly and gaining a ridiculous amount of weight throughout your pregnancy, you should be fine.

I’ve just been snacking more lately. Literally nothing sounds good so I just munch on some rice crackers and some cheese/yogurt maybe a protein shake until dinner time when I eat a real meal, but it’s small because I’m just not hungry. I’m pretty overweight though so it’s not a bad thing in my case.

Thanks ladies !!

I eat whatever I want. And take my prenatal at night. I literally survived on McDonald’s cheese burgers the whole first trimester with my first. And chicken nuggets with my second. Just eat what you want/can.
