Always give a Birthday gift receipt?

Hey mamas, I've been invited for a baby's birthday party. It's our first one in Canada, so I don't know what the norms are around a gift receipt. Should we always include it or it doesn't matter? Thanks.

Gift receipts are always a good idea in my opinion! 😊

I agree gift receipts are great incase you get doubles.

I would say it’s great just in case! Make sure you put the receipt in the card for the parents to open, and see to put away, we’ve had it happen twice where our child opens the gift and tears the receipt because it’s taped to the present lol! Always a good laugh tho! And there’s ALWAYS doubles at big parties 😁 have fun!

Always. My in-laws never give gift receipts and we have so much gifts that we can't do anything with because they will question why it's on fb marketplace or ask about it when they visit

@Ellie you can hide your marketplace posts from your fb friends and family. Incase you didn't know that was a feature.

Not expected but I think it’s very thoughtful and appreciated

@Melissa my MIL lives with us..... I've tried putting some toys my son doesn't play with up for sale and she yelled at me that I was ungrateful for the gift.

@Ellie oh 🤣 that's a bit harder.
