Naming son after dad?
His dad hasn't really been there like he should but this is our first son and he wants him to be a JR after him I'm kinda iffy about it and everyone around us is telling me to just let him have his son named after him but I feel like that's earned honestly but I don't want to not do it and regret not doing it because part of me want to but the other half feel like he don't deserve having a JR ... Especially since he's not going to be at the birth of on the birth certificate like I don't know please let me hear your opinions
I wouldn't do it. My husband is a III and he hates that he's associated with his dad as he also wasn't around much. We discussed that any boy we have will have a new name even though he's an amazing dad as having a separate identity is so important. It's an honor to be named after someone and they should earn that privilege as well.
