leaving carseat in car

Ive been seeing some moms leave the carseat in the car and just taking the baby out. Its fairly warm here in NY right now and this is also for the summertime. But idk if that’s practical or just sounds good in my head😂 it definitely would take off a few pounds going up and down steps. Leaving in a little and trying to think the best way to do this bc its so freaking hot

For sure, if that works for your lifestyle, then do it. They are made for all weather, i live in AZ, so it gets to be 120 in the summers here! Thats why they eventually expire because of the wear and tear of the elements on them!

Absolutely I do. He's not a fan so I use the tush baby and leave the seat in the car for errands. And just the other day I switched to a convertible seat. It's got a steel frame. There's no way I'm lugging that in an out. With my first I had ice pack pads that I laid in if we were, say, going to the zoo. And I'd pre start my car with the air before we leave home.

You probably are going to want to start the car early before you leave and also hit the metal buckles with a wet wipe because they get hot, but parking in the shade or getting window shades can help a lot

We do that. California

I started doing that just because it's so heavy trying to lift that into the middle of the car but we still have the option to take it out of we want too

I’ve always left the car seat in the car 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Alejandra Thank you for the cart cover suggestion and the cute photo. Do you mind explaining why you would not leave the car seat in the car overnight? FTM here.
