That was told to our parents. My mom was told by all my doctors to let me cry it out, however long it takes. A lot of parents were. I think they knew it felt wrong, so they had to justify it by saying it spoils the babes. My mom has said that she wishes all this research was available back when I was a kid because she would do so many things over. It is definitely frustrating hearing it from other people, though. I've had people tell me "you don't need to tend to the baby every time she cries. Crying strengthens their lungs" I just say "thanks, I'm going to anyways."

Do what you think is right,,you are parent now,, for me it’s no,,,

@PB for me it’s also a no thank you

We let her cry it out for about 10-20 minutes, if she doesn't calm down we get up for a little bit and try again. Everyone is different. Every baby is different. Do what works for you guys.

I also don’t let my baby cry it out. Mostly because 99% of the time if I pick her up she will cuddle in my arms and fall asleep. Then will let me put her down. She just wants her momma close to her when she falls asleep!

I know it can be incredibly frustrating. Our parents heard about using the Ferber method back in the day but we now have the research to show us how detrimental it is. Unfortunately it’s still really popular today in programs like TCB even though there’s zero science behind it and all the evidence actually points against it.

I hold mines to sleep and still co sleep with her. It’s what works best for us.

For the first 6 months don't let him cry it out after 6 months the baby realizes they are a separate human so spoil that baby it's YOUR baby

@Adriana he’s gonna be one spoiled rotten nugget
