C Section Overhang / Pooch

Hi ladies, I’m 6 weeks post c section and this is currently my tummy. Is it likely this will flatten out a bit once I lose weight? (If anyone has looked similar?) I had a vaginal delivery for my first and I was lucky to ‘bounce back’ but my confidence has been knocked post c-section and I really hate the way I look. Thank you x

I look very similar and I’m six weeks pp also

I’m 5 pp and the same. Apparently scar massage on and around the area is good for lifting the scar from being so tucked in. There’s loads of TikTok’s about it x

First off you look great for only 6 weeks. It’s possible it’ll flatten out or it might stay and you might just have to work harder at working out your core and losing weight to help

Girl I wish I looked like that 6 weeks pp!

It will go away, trust me!!! I had the worst overhang and now my belly is fully flat.

@Adrianna did you do any particular exercises? X

scar massages daily and lauren fitters c-section recovery workouts and also her ab workouts when you feel ready for exercise xx

I'm 5m PP and my belly still has an overhang. I think it just depends on your body sadly x

I'm 9 weeks PP and have this. You look good for 6 weeks. Just hang in there, it will improve

Im jealous of how you look you look amazing for 6 weeks! Unfortunately mine is worse and im close to 6 weeks too all i can say is you look Amazing mama ☺️

No useful comments re your issue but at 6 weeks pp you’re looking great!

@Emily me too x

7 weeks pp and look exactly the same. Hoping it will go down eventually. It did with my daughter 6 years ago.

Lol unfortunately that over hang will forever be a memory of your beautiful journey. 6 years ago with my first I lost my top stomach but that kangaroo pouch still hung right there so I then had another baby last year and the pouch still there. I'm even pregnant right now due next week and MY BELLY CAN'T EVEN BE FULLY ROUND BECAUSE OF THE UGLY POUCH 🙃. I say try to keep up with muscle core down there when you start feeling like working out.

@Adrianna thank you so much for sharing this. When is it okay for me to start doing exercises such a sit-ups, leg raises, squats, press ups etc. ? X

@Lauren it all depends on your activity level during pregnancy and what your doctor recommends! Mine said it’s okay to walk as soon as you feel comfortable to as it speeds up your recovery. Mine agreed to me starting my exercise back up 2 weeks post my c section as I felt good enough! I wouldn’t necessarily start with sit ups and such, but mostly deep core like bird dogs, dead bugs, standing knee raises.. and “vacuum” exercises! only because your abdomen is still healing. Xx

@Lauren you can certainly do strength training and just listen to your body though 😊 I did a lot of HIIT cycling x

You look amazing... my tummy seems much bigger than all the photos iv seen. 😪 I know everyone is different but this is my first c section iv had 5 natural births previous and this feels like it will never go away or reduce in size... I feel crap 🥲

Yikes

That doesn’t look real. Almost alien-ish lol

@Michelle thank you so much. Really boosted my confidence

I didn’t say anything you didn’t already know. You posted it about it because you already know it looks bad so just stop.

@Michelle you seem like a really lovely person.

@Michelle how does it look bad? She had a baby 6 weeks ago and her tummy sliced open?! There will be still swelling and it will go down. It does not look alien like

@Charlotte thank you xx

@Michelle well you an absolute delight of a person…. I think you look great for 6 weeks PP I think it depends on there person I’m 3 weeks post c section and had abit of a over hand to start with due to weight loss so am expecting it to have got a bit worse! But defo give your self some time! Xx

@Charlotte you just answered your own question. It looks bad because she had a baby 6 weeks ago and was sliced open. That’s literally WHY it looks the way it does lollll

I’ve just never seen a “shelf” that deep or overhanging before not even on any online pics before so it shocked me. 🤷‍♀️

@Michelle but it looks no worse than any other swollen pp body. If you need to be a troll, I would suggest that this is not the right platform for that

@Michelle I obviously created the post on here for some reassurance based on how low it is making me feel. You have made a choice to be unnecessarily cruel. Not just to me, but anyone else coming on this post to empathise because they feel the same way. Why anyone would want to leave comments like that baffles me.

She’s obviously on here to wind people up because of her own insecurities. Please don’t believe her comments and listen to the others saying that you’re looking great and it will get better once you’re not swollen. Your body has done an amazing thing don’t be too harsh on it so soon after birth xx

@Michelle you clearly created your account to troll on people. You don’t have a photo lol. How sad of a human being do you have to be to do that? You literally are hating on postpartum women. No life human being. I feel sorry for you cause you must be a lonely, miserable human being who’s just trying to get happy by bringing people down.

Incognito - don’t listen to that troll. Honestly, from the bottom of my heart (I never sugarcoat anything) you look absolutely fine. I’d even say great for such a short recovery! Fuck that bitch, idk what’s wrong with some people 😂😂 please promise me you won’t let her get to you, she’s clearly mentally unstable 😂

@Michelle says the person with no profile picture…

To the original poster - may I just say I think you look fab! I really do. Honestly my overhang is worse than this and I’m 6m PP! Please don’t let ‘Michelle’ above bring your confidence down, and be kind to yourself, your body has grown a beautiful human and needs to recover! 💕💕

@Sarah thank you for your lovely comment xx

@Adrianna thank you 💗💗 xx

@Charlotte thank you Charlotte xx
