@Moriah thank you for this!
Yep agree! 10-15min it's plenty of time, after that it's a lost cause! It always depend on them tho, if they are fighting it with all their energy I give up even earlier... if they are still drowsy I would try 10-15min and if no luck I would keep their wake time shorter than usual, usually I follow his sleepy cues anyway! Fighting is just a waste of energy for both of us! Just go with the flow!🫠
I dont lol. He just naps when he wants and wakes whenever he does. Then he is usually up for about 1-2 hours. Average wake window at this age is about 90 mins. And then he will fall back to sleep.
This is honestly part of why we ran the TV near our newborn 24/7 when we brought him home. Just so noise doesn’t bother him. He’s now 8 weeks old and completely unfazed by noise. However, he does fight naps when he’s overly tired. And that includes when he accidentally gets woken up from a nap. We don’t fight it if he’s calm. If he’s crying, we keep trying. But a lot of times the easiest solution is to put him in his stroller.
I read somewhere that if they don’t go back to sleep in 10-15 minutes to end the nap.
