@Jill 19 months
What I use to do for my little 1 year olds *successfully potty trained 15 of them before turning 2* is every 15 minutes I would pluck 2 kids at a time *had two toilets* and have them sit down on the toilet for 5 minutes if they sat still and potty I would let them pic out any toy they wanted to keep and bring home *even if they didn't potty they still picked out a toy for sitting on the toilet* I did that for a week, than the next week I would go every 30 minutes and than the following week every hour. Pull ups are a must tho. That is how I'm doing with my daughter and it's working really good. She is almost potty trained I'm just trying to get her to poop in the toilet. Also you don't have to buy her all new toys to do this. What I I'm doing with her is that she no longer plays with and putting them in the chest or a box and letting her pick out her new toys
We finished potty training around 18 months thankfully. To start, since she's such a busy body, I'd suggest you sit her on the potty as soon as she wakes for the day and after naps. If she has a schedule, get her up right before she'd naturally wake up so she's still sleepy and doesn't have time to start the shenanigans 🙃 With my son, we'd sit him on and make a certain sound to tell him to release and eventually he understood when we make that sound he's supposed to potty and he'd start holding it
thank you ladies, these are great ideas i would have never thought of. i think combining both of them together will do the trick. i’ll put her to sit on it when she’s still waking up/sleepy and reward her with something she likes after sitting for about 5 mins, fingers crossed it works
How old is your daughter? I use to be a day care teacher, I might be able to help if I know her age. And I'm currently potty training my daughter
