Hey, it happens due to powder increasing the volume. If making a bottle from the kettle you add water first (making 4oz) once you add powder the volume increased to approx 5oz, same as prep machine! Nothing to worry about the measurements are accurate, I make my bottles from the prep machine too, or from the kettle when visiting people.
It’s the powder, as it’s dissolves in the water it increases the overall volume slightly
@Laura this doesn’t happen when I sue the Rapid Cool, when I use that the volume stays the same and I add water then formula to that too?
Are you sure you're measuring the water accurately? As the volume should always increase even a little if powder is added ?
@Laura yes, putting the water up to the correct marker then adding formula
Try kettle method, see if it makes a difference .. strange!
When using the rapid cool youre decanting it aren’t you? So some will be left inside the rapid cool which is most likely why your volume doesn’t go up. Like others say it’s the formula making it more than 4oz, just look at how much is left in the bottle so just act like it was 4oz all along
It's the powder that increases the volume in side the bottle
Yes it happens the same to me. I honestly just go with it as my baby seems to be happy to take the whole bottle.
