Baby struggling with cold

My little girl is 7 weeks old and has got a cold for the first time off her cousin. Its affecting her breathing while she's feeding. I'm exhausted because each feed is taking me an hour or two. Have to constantly change her clothes because she spits up the milk all over them because she can't breathe. She's takes 5oz every feed but I fed her about an hour ago and she's only taken 4oz, plenty of wet nappies and she's still pooing fine too. Going to get her some saline drops but what else can I do? Is is worth ringing 111? Don't want her losing weight

My little girl just got over bronchiolitis and was pretty bad with her breathing, she fought it herself, is your little ones chest like sucking in under their ribs? If so then I'd say give them a call, if not then I suggest just getting a snot sucker along with the saline drops and honestly it's been a lifesaver! Also Asda little angels do a vapour bath safe to use from newborn! :) both have helped my daughter sooo much! Xx

I second what Beth has said with the snot sucker and the little angels vapour bath! Still use it now on my 3 year old when she’s a little congested, it works a dream!

@Beth No she's not doing that while breathing, I just don't want her losing weight because she's hit snd miss with how much she has at feeds. She has reflux and it's made it worse. Thanks x

@Parker Aww bless her! Ah that's, a good sign then sounds like she's just snuffly with a cold! Definitely try the things I've said about though! They've worked miracles for my little girl! Xxxx

fridababy snotsucker is a godsend!

These two products are the exact ones I mentioned! Honestly game changer!! ❤️

Thanks so much for your help everyone! Horrible seeing them struggle, especially when the are so little x

I hope these work for her! Honestly such a horrible feeling seeing your baby under the weather especially when there's not a lot you can do for them at such a young age! Xx
