How to get stuff done?

Hey! I wondered how you ladies get stuff done around the home like showering, cleaning up, laundry with your little baby. My little lady is 5 weeks now. Thanks in advance!

We have a Bouncer and I take him into the bathroom with me, he loves the sound of running water and I do the same when I need to wash up or sterilise my pumps. He’s fascinated with what’s around him now. If your little one doesn’t like to be put down for a nap you could always get a carrier, that’s how I managed to get hoovering and little things done in the first 3 weeks but now when he goes down for a nap, I pop the monitor on in the living room, I’ll only be in the kitchen which is 10 steps away but at least I can still see him

@Brenda thank you!! Sounds great xx

Showering when napping, it’s okay if they cry for a minute!, cleaning I always did whilst baby was on baby mat or sleeping when my girl started sleeping through she went to sleep at 6.30pm so I’d clean at night time x

@Chelsea great advice! Thank you xx

I put the baby in the carrier to clean etc, he loves it and falls asleep when we hoover. Shower is hit and miss, either when he naps or I time it with my husband so he can have him in the mornings before work

I have hard floors so that I can mop them. I put the baby in the pram and bring her into the bathroom when I shower. As for things around the house she will go in the sling or I will put her in her basket or on play mat and keep an eye on her and keep going back to her when she cries or wakes up. I have literally just managed to have a shower and do some housework whilst playing hoover sounds on YouTube she slept for about a good 40 minutes 🤣

Dancing fruit in a bouncer 😂

I would love to get some housework done but without someone being at home to hold my LG, nothing gets done.

Nothing gets done! I can’t even get ready to leave the house as my 5.5 week old won’t Let me put her down anywhere 🫠

My little girl is nearly 8 weeks and she sleeps in 4 hour streches. This gives me chance to get everything done in the morning like the steriliser, have breakfast, put washing on before she needs a feed. Everything else,.I just get it done as and when she sleeps in the day x

My little man's a velcro baby so I have to do it when he's asleep and I've managed to put him down. Quite often he'll wake up when I put him down so it's hit or miss atm. He's not a fan of the bouncer, he's not a fan of laying on a play mat, sometimes he'll sleep for a few hours sometimes it's one. I tried sensory videos yesterday while I was making food and that seemed to work, but I did that with my LG (nearly two) and shes obsessed with watching stuff now. Admittedly I think a lot of it has helped her speech when most people say it'll cause it to be slow, but she is watching "educational" videos. So I don't know. Our HV saw her when she came for my little man (they both have the same one) and was impressed how much she could say so I think she's doing alright.

Baby wearing is so helpful! For showers just pop baby in a bouncer or buggy close by x

I have a sleepyhead which find really helps rather than moses basket downstairs. Also putting dancing fruit on you tube with her in the bouncer in front of it helps - amazing what u can do in 15 minutes 😂

I tend to shower while she’s still asleep in the morning and just have the monitor on. I’ll try and get as much done as I can in that time and if not I’ll put her in her swing or strap her to me in the sling
