Unfavourable Cervix = No Sweep

Hi All. I had an attempted sweep at 39+6 but my cervix was 3cm long, posterior & she could only fit a fingertip so sweep couldn’t be done. Can I please ask if anyone has had similar? Also I’ve spotted brown discharge since (almost 48hrs since) which I know is very common, but just wanted to know if anyone also had similar? It’s becoming more like mucus which may be a good sign?! One of my friends was told by the midwife her cervix was completely closed and couldn't have a sweep and her waters broke that evening x

41+2 midwife said couldn’t do a sweep due to unfavourable cervix at 13:00 and baby was born just after midnight

I had the exact same thing yesterday, had a sweep but was told my cervix wasn’t dilated enough and that she could only get the tip of her fingers in to touch the babies head so it wasn’t a successful sweep, I’ve been bleeding / brown discharge ever since and just like you it is becoming more like mucus.. so I hope it’s also a good sign! I have an induction booked from today so no idea what will happen! 👀

I had the same on Tuesday. She did what she could but said she didn't expect it to work. I've had no sign of anything since.
