I just lost my mucus plug

I lost mine 4 days before my waters broke but I didn’t get contractions until we got to the hospital! I think everyone seems to have things happen in a different order! I did have really bad lower backache and period like cramps for the whole week before I gave birth as well 😊

Yeaj it’s annoying that there isn’t one set timeline that things happen in. I remember when I lost my mucus plug I thought that’s it I’m giving birth today and every day after that I was so anxious because nothing else seemed to be moving along. I think it’s safe to say if your mucus plug has gone and you’ve got the period like cramps things are about to happen soon! I know it’s easier said than done but just try to relax and get lots of rest so you’re ready to meet your little baby!

Varies soo much!! I lost it 2 weeks before I gave birth 🥹 just have everything ready, i definitely knew I was in labour when the contractions came and it felt like bad period pains and I had to stop what I was doing to deal with them for like 30 seconds! Good luck girlie !!🥰🥰

I lost my mucous plug at 7am when I got up for the day, and then my labor progressed from there. I labored at home all day. At like 10:30pm my water broke and I went to the hospital. Then a few hours later, at 1am my daughter came into the world.

I didn’t nap when I could have, so definitely glad to hear you are resting!

I had a low risk pregnancy. My doctor said to come in either after 2 hours the contractions are too hard to speak through or my water breaks. It ended up being both that happened.. 2 hours of heavy contractions and then water breaking.

She said I could come in sooner if I really felt I needed to or if there was no baby movement. I did feel her moving around so I knew she was doing okay.

Definitely stay in contact with your doctor if you have any concerns.

I lost my mucus plug like 1-2 weeks before, little by little. With my 1st pregnancy, about 3 days before.

Thank you everyone for sharing! Update: I have been having contractions pretty regularly for 4 hours. They are 8 minutes apart. I’ve also lost another part of my mucus plug. Pretty sure baby girl is coming today or tomorrow!

you could be in early labor! i started early contractions (felt period like) only a few hours after losing the mucus plug. my daughter was born 24 hours later! just rest and relax, you’re so close!!

Also if they are getting closer together time them. You can always ring the mw team. For advice. I rang them when I was in early labour and they told me to time my contractions. If they get bad have a cool bath if you’re able to it helps your hips. Keep us updated 🥰
