Bottles

Hi, looking for recommendations. My daughter is almost 18 months and has 1 maybe 2 bottles of milk a day. She was BF and then we started using the mam bottles. I know it’s advised once baby is one to stop using bottles with teats. But what bottles are people using for milk. She doesn’t have them to go to sleep and uses Tommee tippee straw cup for water. And recommendations would be great! Thank you

Used TT with spout or MAM bottle once daily until about 24-25 months with my son gradually discovering that he can take the lid off TT and drink like an adult. Now he’s 27m doesn’t want any milk, just water in a normal cup. He has yoghurts and cheese. I know others who followed similar pathway. They just naturally switch.

I’m doing exactly the same as you Incognito. I don’t have any plans to change for now.

We still have one MAM bottle a day first thing in the morning and no plans to change that at the moment. She drinks water from a Tum Tum straw cup or just a plastic open cup throughout the day

We only have 1 occasionally 2 bottles I think like others when she no longer wants milk that’s when the bottles will stop for us I’m in no rust she has her water and a free flow, or weighted straw cup

Same, one bottle a day in the morning. Thought we’d switch fully away by now but she drinks from straw and open cups fine in the day, so we’re holding on to this one for a lil longer 🥹

I still let them have a bottle before bed and if they wake up during the night and don't settle (not every night). Other than that they have normal meals and drink water from a straw or normal cup. I don't fully understand the reason to stop bottles at 1 but I assume it's to avoid them preferring milk over food! Not an issue with my twins 🤣

It’s more her teeth, I’m a dental nurse and aware of teeth formation, she’s completely fine but I’ve got friends who have been told their babies teeth are beginning to form an open bite
