There’s something unusual about names that start with letters near the end of the alphabet. They’re just that much more uncommon, and are likely to make someone’s ears prick up when they hear it. V names are particularly interesting, not only because of their rarity, but also because of their powerful meanings.

In many languages, the word for life begins with V: Vida, Vica, Vita, Viveca, and Vivina are all girls’ names that mean life.

Many V names also mean truth, such as Vera, Verity, Varena, and Viera, while others mean strong and healthy, like Valentina, Valeria, and Valida.

If you’re drawn to the letter V, mama, the long list below should help you to decide whether your baby girl is more of a Vanille or a Vidya.

Do active babies in the womb become active newborns?

I had my 40 week ultrasound yesterday (on my due date) and the doctor mentioned how active my baby is. Curious as to your experiences regarding if your baby was active in the womb, are they likely to be active when they’re newborn? 😊

Has anyone here had a small bump with a baby that weighed measured average size? Its really worrying me! I have a 30 week scan and one at 37 weeks because im on a moderate pathway - had a gastric sleeve in 2023 so its to check she is growing but as the comments are coming im now panicking where I wasnt before 😫

Early Labour?

I’m 34 weeks today, since 3am I’ve been having irregular cramping which becomes quite intense and has caused me to vomit. I’ve also had diarrhoea. Could I be in early labour or could I just have a bad stomach? I feel generally well in myself

Movements at 31 weeks

Does anyone else feel like their movements are more subtle since being further along in the pregnancy? I can feel my baby moving inside my belly but I don't feel the movements as "strong" when I put my hand on my belly. Not sure if it's because they've changed from "kicking" to "rolling" movements.

Anyone else feel the same?
