Vuestras experiencias de nacimiento (servicios médicos y procesos de gobierno)

Hola! Soy extranjera y embarazada. Vivo en Malagá, con mi marido y perrita. Gustaría saber vuestras experiencias de nacimiento en España. porque no tengo amigos en España que hay hijos. También quiero saber el procesos de gobiernos (como, el certificado de nacimiento), sí están difíciles? Hablo español más o menos bien, pero no lo sé si los hospitales tienen alguien que habla inglés en el departamento de maternidad. También, los clases de maternidad y grupos de nuevas madres están commón en España? Gracias 🙏 English: Hi! I’m a foreigner and pregnant. I live in Malaga with my husband and dog. I’d like to hear about your experiences giving birth and with the government processes afterwards. I don’t have any friends with kids in Spain so I can’t ask them. I’m not sure about how difficult the bureaucracy is in regards to childbirth. I can speak Spanish pretty well but I’m not sure if the hospitals have anyone who speaks English as well. Also, do you know if the maternity classes and new mums groups are common? Thanks 🙏

Hi Emily, I havent experienced giving birth in Spain but I have had experience with their health service (I had to take my, then, 4 months old baby to the emergency room and an emergency gp appointment) and I can say that the health service in Spain is much better than in the UK and I mean its light years better. From that experience, I would confidently have a baby in Spain. I also, speak both languages fluently and I did come across one pediatrician that spoke English (I'm not very sure at what level, but it sounded good). All the best!

@M Taylor thanks for the info! That’s really great to hear the care is so good here. And that there are some English speaking doctors! My husbands Spanish isn’t the best so it will be good if we find one. We’re your experiences with private or public?
