Mixed race babies

We've not cut my son's hair since he was born and he's now almost two. His hair is quite long (a few inches) and in pretty loose curls. It's longest at the back of his head and, as much as I condition that hair, it tends to be really dry and tangle easily compared to the rest of his head. People will often comment on how lovely his hair is but I'm debating whether to have his first little trim done in case the drier hair is just baby hair and it may look better after being cut. Any thoughts??

I've noticed my mixed kid gets a deep tan in the summer but looks much paler in the winter. Is this normal, and do other moms see the same thing with their kids? Would love to hear what others have noticed or any tips for skin care!

While pregnant did you notice if your cravings were more of things your spouse grew up eating more than what you grew up eating?

While pregnant with my daughter I craved grilled cheese and fruit punch so much. I’m Mexican and never really had that as a kid. My husband is white and he had that more frequently than I did. My daughter is an exact replica of him.

I’m wondering do your cravings have anything to do with who your child will look like more?

I’m currently pregnant with our second and now I’m having more cravings from my childhood. I’m wondering if anyone else has thought about this or if anyone else experienced this?
