I need advice

I need advice on how to take care of my sons hair. It’s very curly but nappy. I’ve brushed it and put a little leave in conditioner in it but it goes back to being nappy not long after.

Satin pillowcases

My daughter (2.5yo) has 3b curls (I think). She has a satin sheet on her mattress and satin pillowcases but I feel bad for her cause we can never use the cute pillowcases that come with her duvet covers and the satin pillow case is pretty plain and boring. We've bought her a couple of kids bonnets but she will not keep them on - what does everyone do to protect their curly kids hair while they sleep?

I got asked whether I am my daughters mum...

My little one is mixed, I'm white mixed ethnicity, so not just British and her dad is half Nigerian, half Irish.

Anyway, today, a mum was looking hard at my daughter. When I turned to her she said "oh are you her mum, you look absolutely nothing a like"... My daughter has her gorgeous dad features, and curls and my eyes,.my response was yes she is my daughter "oh then I suppose she must look like her dad and what have his features?"

I didn't like the way it was delivered or the way it sounded. There was an air of, honestly racism there. From the way she stared at her to also picking out features.

I have had this once before but delivered totally differently, with "wow your daughter is gorgeous, she doesn't have your face but she for sure has your eyes".

I'm honestly not fussed about her not looking like me, she's magnificent and a beauty but to be asked if I'm her mum really hurt. I don't know why I'm writing maybe just to vent a little, people really don't think before they speak.
