Pregnancy scans

Previous pre term birth

Hi all I had a preterm birth at 24 weeks back in feb, my baby girl was delivered and sadly passed away on the NiCU unit- I had Chorioaminitis but they are unsure whether I had problems with my cervix as nothing was picked up on , it came out of no where. I’m now 19 weeks pregnant again- consultant led. I’m having my cervix scanned every two weeks and up until today it was measuring as normal , but today it has shortened by 5mm. It was 42mm at 17 weeks and today 37. Consultant wants to see me again in a week to check again , he didn’t seem overly concerned but I just feel worried it could all go down hill from here. Can I ask at what gestation did people notice a shortening and how quickly can it shorten ?

Has anyone experienced or had intercourse or an orgasm right after the cerclage was removed? Should we stay away from that stuff?

Signs of labor

Need advice please !!

I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant. I had a cerclage placed at 13 weeks. Two nights ago I started having really bad ongoing contractions. They were happening every 4 to 5 minutes. They were lasting over 30 seconds. I went to my doctor and I told him it felt like I was having contractions. He told me to just go home and get some rest and lay down and drink water. I went home and I did, I tried to go to sleep and I was being woken up constantly by these painful contractions. I went to my hospital. They did admit me. I was in there for a day and a half. I was given fentanyl to help with the pain and other antibiotics And magnesium.. all day today my contractions pretty much went away. They didn’t want to take out the baby because it was obviously still too early. My water never broke, I wasn’t bleeding, can’t really tell if I was dilated because of the cerclage. Pretty much the doctor was saying if I was bleeding then that would be a sign of actual labor because my stitches would erupt and I would be in a lot more pain. So all I did was manage my contractions. I just got home a little while ago and I still feel small contractions and pain. I know 100% it’s not Braxton Hicks Absolutely does not feel like it would be. I just don’t know what to do now because I still see no blood and my water didn’t break but I am so confused. Am I just supposed to have this pain for the next six weeks? Is there anything I can take? Or does Tylenol even help these?… I just want a good nights rest.):

First trimester worries

18 weeks pregnant cervix 27mm

Hello, i am 18 weeks pregnant. I see the consultant on Wednesday due to previous LLETZ procedures. My cervix was measuring 27mm so he has put me progesterone and I am going back Wednesday for another scan. If it has got any smaller he said I will have the stitch that day but if not I will carry on with progesterone and be checked every week up until 24 weeks. Can anyone tell me what happens after 24 weeks? I know you’re not meant to have the stitch after this time is it less likely for your cervix to change at this point? Thank you x
