Educated Mamas

This is a room for people who have College degrees. College credits, certifications, college students, etc. I think it is important to have somewhere to share this kind of accomplishment or to be someone who is working towards it. Most of us can attest to the importance of education and how nothing can replace that kind of experience, hardwork and dedication.

What are we giving as snacks?

My baby is about to turn one and I am already scrambling for meal ideas, much less snacks that he won't choke on. I'm not particularly crunchy but I'm trying to avoid added salt, sugar, and ideally too many dyes. What are y'all feeding for snacks?

Free time?

I’m in need of some advice or just connection. I work from home, and while I know it’s a blessing to have flexibility, I often find myself feeling like I’m not making the most of it. If you had more time or a more flexible schedule, what would you do with it?

This is the dream. I landed two remote jobs. I am able to homeschool my kids like I want. I bake and cook from scratch like I want. But I cannot stop feeling like I should be doing more with my flexibility.

Honestly, I’m struggling a bit to figure it out and could use some advice or encouragement. I’m seeking any recommendation or just ideas on how to make this time feel more meaningful.

I need advice!

I need some advice. I currently work at a job that has nothing to do with education at all (education is my major) I make $16 an hour, around 36 hours a week. I work 8-6 M-Th. I have an interview this week at a school as a para who makes most likely $14 an hour, better hours, and will most likely lead to jobs within the district once I graduate (next summer). This district also has a paid daycare for my son to go to, they will help pay for school, as well as pay for my alt. Cert. once I graduate. This seems like a no brainer. But I feel so guilty for leaving my job without a 2 week notice since school is starting back in like a week and a half. What would yall do in my situation?
