Newborn: sleeping & comfort

I’ll never understand why my husbands phone alarm can wake him up but the baby screaming bloody murder doesn’t. I changed and nursed the baby, put her in her bassinet when she fell asleep and ran upstairs to shower before she or my toddler woke up. Tell me why I can hear her from the upstairs bathroom when she’s in our room in the basement but her father who is about two feet away can’t?? And why do guys simply turn over and go back to sleep when they are awakened by the baby? I just don’t get it. Any noise from the baby and I’m up checking her breathing! It’s like he can ignore the baby crying but somehow the world will end if I do. Come on they gotta start making dads like moms or we ladies are all gonna lose our minds!!

This girl keeps puking up her milk but only goes down when I'm nursing. Can't rock her to sleep or nothing. I put her down to go use the bathroom and I can hear her screaming bloody murder just cause I had to go pee. Man the newborn trenches sucks! I don't even remember when my toddler started sleeping through the night. I just wanna sleep!

Hi, first time mom here, exclusively formula feeding. I have a 6 day old baby and she sleeps 3-4 hours per stretch during the day with no fuss and feeds 70ml on average, but at night she’s a lot less settled and wakes up crying every 1.5hr-2hrs, showing hunger cues, but she usually falls asleep after taking around 40ml refusing more milk, only to then wake up and repeat the pattern again later. Does anyone have any advice? Will giving her a pacifier when she stirs stretch out the feeding interval more or will that make us miss hunger cues? Much appreciated!

My newborn has been uster feeding like crazy and is waiting to eat every 30 min - 1hr. My nipples are killing me and I believe I have blood blisters. The lactation consultant at the hospital told me my latch was good. I am wondering if anyone has suggestions for soothing nipple pain to get through cluster feeding. I use coconut oil for nipple cream

My 2 day old new born slept great in the bassinet at the hospital. As soon as we brought her home she started cluster feeding and will fall asleep in our arms but refuses to sleep in the portable sleep nest and portable bassinet we bought. Im not sure if the issue is with the sleep nest and bassinet or the cluster feeding. Are there any tips for getting a cluster feeding newborn to sleep or tips for newborns who won't sleep in a new bassinet?
