Postpartum mental health

Hi mums of pandemic babies

I know this groups not been very active for a while and the pandemic isn’t so much a pandemic anymore but wondered if anyone else was in the same boat.

I had my first pregnancy and first child in the pandemic and it was really lonely. I still get feelings of jealousy when I see pregnant mums and mums with newborns going out and seeing family and friends and going to baby groups etc. All the normal stuff that we take for granted.

I am not annoyed at them for doing it at all. It just makes my heart ache a little that I never got that. I know we got through it and my child is amazing but I still grieve for what we didn’t have. Is it just me?

Skin conditions

Sensitive skin

Hey has any one suffered with really bad sensitive skin after having their babies? I had my 2nd baby nearly 11 months ago and ever since my skin has been really sensitive. Doesn't matter if I use expensive face wash and creams or if I use the cheaper stuff my face gets really sore and is red and burnt for days afterwards. Can anyone e recommend anything to help with it.

My husband is not coping well...

My LG is 15 months old and we have an amazing bond which I love. Unfortunately it means that my husband has to struggle with it. If he even puts his arm around me she moans and pushed him off. When we're out if I get up to go to the loo she goes berserk! Kicking, screaming and having a full of meltdown trying to get to me. My husband feels really embarrassed and useless when this happens. He said he can't deal with it anymore and something needs to change to "break our bond".

Its not that he's jealous, I think he feels excluded and unhelpful. He wants to take the load off me sometimes as she is really hard work but doesn't know what to do?

Will this last forever? Any tips on what we can try to improve the situation?
