Do you feel like a failer parent if your child is late for school?

I completely understand how the school system works being late, she was late today but it was hard to get her up out of bed she didn’t want to and I was trying everything, the receptionist said that it’s kind of okay when they are in reception but it really really does matter when they hit year one, I could have everything ready breakfast done and majority of the time we are late, I just feel awful as it’s my responsibility but I can’t physically force her to be any quicker if I did that then it would be considered abuse which I do not stand for in any shape or form! She doesn’t like school she hates going and she puts it off all the time, maybe this is just a pitty party just come back from dropping her off and I have no energy for the day to do anything the whole late thing has got to me and I wish I could do better

Advice for managing behaviour

Hi all,

Since my son has turned 3 I am finding it impossible to manage his behaviour. I increasingly find myself being the kind of parent I don’t want to be - short tempered, shouting, impatient etc. he doesn’t listen to ANYTHING and if things don’t go completely his way he goes mental. The hitting has got worse and throwing things in a rage if we do something he doesn’t like.

Is this normal? How do I stop feeling like this and get myself back to the parent I want to be?

We’ve also recently moved which I know is a big upheaval.

Potty training

Toilet training

My little one has been toilet trained for 5 months now, they struggled to begin with, with number 2s on the toilet but they were sorted after about 4 weeks into wearing knickers. Now a couple of months later, they have regressed and constantly pooing their pants. Any suggestions as it’s driving me mad.

Potty training

Potty Training - any advice?

Ok so yes, i have been shamed for not potty training my 2 yr old.

She just doesnt seem to care, shes sat on a potty since turning 2 and has done the occasional wee/poo with alot of praise but doesn't understand the concept of "i need a wee, i must go to the potty"

she will sit on their for 15mins but because she wants to not because she has to go. Tomorrow after the shame from nursery and starting school in sept, I am attempting another day of no nappies.

Any advice ladies? Anything would help right now. Planning on fri to sun no nappies (apart from bed) alot of water, alot of praise and no negativity with accidents.

Help!!!! I need it to click this time
