Mama's, I'm in need of some good adviceπππ»!!
I took my daughter (almost 2 years old) to Northern Tikes today for a little daughter/mommy day...well I had no idea it would end up turning into a COMPLETE nightmare...π
We took the bus to go there and the whole bus ride we were all smiles, super happy, wide awake, and well fed. When we got to Northern Tikes and actually went in the building I could see her mood change 100%...she went from being super happy, playful, and talkative to completely shut off, shy, and cranky!
We spent 5-10minutes in there, went down one of the blue slides once, my daughter was just screaming, SHAKING, tears pouring down her face, she was latched onto me for dear life, the poor kid just look terrified out of her mind, she started to hyperventilate...it was awful, I couldn't even get her coat and boots on I had to just grab out things and take her right out of the building...well it didn't even stop there, the whole way home it was just none stop crying and it took about 30minutes after we got home to finally get her to settle down a little....
It was extremely shocking for me to see her like thatπππ»I tried EVERYTHING to help calm her down and make her feel okay and safe but NOTHING worked!
She hasn't really had many playdates or been around kids her own age due to COVID and lack of knowing kids her age...she has a little brother who is turning 7months and absolutely hates himπshe won't even let us bring him near her without her completely freaking out, crying, and pushing him away or trying to physically hit him....she doesn't like ANY kids going near her, she loves any and all adults, but when a kid enters her view it's complete panic mode.
I have no idea what to do or how to help her! I want her to be able to get along and enjoy being around other kids but she's seems just absolutely terrified, has anyone else experienced this??? How can I help her get through this and get her to be okay around other kids and babies!?!?ππ»ππ»
