Postpartum mental health

Meltdown advice. Possible autism?

My daughter is great but she’s always been so emotional even from a baby , she’s just so much more fussy / high demanding than her peers.

She is so well behaved at Nursery and they comment how great she is, never a problem , wish they were all like her etc.

But at home I can’t cope anymore. From the moment she wakes up we spend the first half hour of the day her screaming and crying for no reason, it’s like she possessed. Home time after Nursery is the same and family are struggling to cope too. She had an hour long fit / meltdown for her Gran last week after Nursery and she said this can’t go on and we need to β€˜get her to a doctor’ .. we have no support as family now standing back and don’t want to help as they find it stressful. There are no obvious triggers she just gets emotional over tiny things that wouldn’t bother other kids.

Any advice for dealing with big emotions ? We read books about feelings, do times out to calm her down, practice breathing / counting .. it’s not getting any better though.
