Formula

Self weaning???

My son turns one in a couple of days and seems to want less and less formula. We are now doing an 8oz morning bottle, 6oz midday bottle, and an 8oz evening bottle. He eats super well during his meal times and has frequently been leaving anywhere from 1-3oz of formula (sometimes more) at the end. He has a pediatrician appointment this week so I’ll ask my doctor then, but in the meantime, does anyone have experience where their child slows down drinking formula themself? Should I lessen the ounces? We haven’t been advised to start milk yet, but he has a good dairy intake through cheese and such. Thanks!

Baby sleep

Weaning and formula support

Any advice on dropping the lunchtime formula bottle? My son is about to turn 10 months. He has a morning and bedtime bottle but can't seem to drop the lunchtime one (all 7oz).

He does also wake in the night and I've started to reduce to 5oz in night, with a look to reducing this more and changing to water. I really feel he's waking for comfort and not milk. He won't settle just with a cuddle and won't take a dummy but wants to suck to sleep.

Also for anyone saying it's normal for babies to wake up, it's not the waking up that I'm concerned about , it's am I creating a habit still giving him formula at night and I don't want to give him cavities- he has 6 teeth

I know all babies are different but with my 1st , he wss eating plenty of food and was only having a bedtime bottle plus sleeping right through by this point. We always bottle fed to sleep but he had a dummy. He was on cows milk from a sippy cup before bedtime at 12 months and no formula.

Milk supply increase needed

How do I get more milk supply? I do Lactation yeast snacks, hydration till I feel like im drowning, and I pump my supply every morning to keep it up if he sleeps through the night because im more firm then (used to be engorged) ive tried coconut water but its just so expensive to keep up he wont eat from breastfeeding often anymore because he gets too fussy while feeding, he tries suckling but delatches just seconds later while screaming. We dont know what else to do. He's been wanting more bottles even though they seem like slower flow than I am when im full.

Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding to bottle

My baby is 8 weeks old this week and when she was first born she would have 1 bottle of formula a day and now she refuses the bottle full stop. Tried mam bottles after recommendations and she just screams and won't take it like she used to. (We had tommee tippee originally) at the start. I just want to be able to get her back to using bottles and really wanting some help and advice if anyone else has had this problem of refusal. ☹️ it's really stressing me out.

Breastfeeding

Breastfed baby won't take bottles anymore, help!!

My baby (3m) is breastfed and was given bottles when she was smaller as we had a wedding to attend and needed to leave her for a few hours, she successfully took bottles a few times a week until just under two months old. She had a slight break from them and now refuses, when she is offered one she goes into full meltdown mode.

We always ensure I am not in the room when the bottle is offered, she is calm but due a feed and it's breast milk just in a bottle. I don't mind EBF but we are supposed to have a night away this summer and I'm worried if we don't solve this soon there is no way I will be able to leave her until breastfeeding ends!

Any tips or tricks?
