Baby sleep

Cot training

I have two kids (2.5 years and 9 months respectively). My toddler sleeps like a dream in his own bedroom but my 9 month olds sleep has been challenging.

My baby has hated sleeping in his bassinet (now changed to a cot) since birth. There was one point where I thought I nailed cot training but then he got sick and only wanted to sleep in my bed with me. He is now well and I’ve been trying to cot train all over again.

Does anyone have any tips? In the cot, he wakes every 30-45 minutes (he can’t seem to connect sleep cycles), but when we were co-sleeping he would sleep through the night/wake once for a feed.

I really want him to be able to sleep in his cot and any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks everyone xx

Incessant thought and stress

My Bub, Ibaad, is 4.5 months old. I have a 3.5 year old who rolled when he was exactly 4 months. I kept stressing out inside as the days progressed after Ibaad was 4 months old about why he is now rolling yet. I know all babies are different but I am not just bejng able share this thought off. 5 days back Ibaad rolled from tummy to back few times and this brought me so much relief but it was only that day and he has not rolled since. This is stressing me about so much. Why did he stopped rolling? What does it mean? He is going to be 5 months in two weeks and if he does not roll before that is he facing developmental delay. I keep telling myself that everything is going to be okay but I am just too anxious all the time. During his tummy time I keep wanting him to roll and he doesn’t. Has any one had this? Does anyone know why he might have stopped?

False starts

Hi ladies is anyone else dealing with false starts in evening? My daughter will go down for one sleep cycle every night then wake every 5 or so minutes for up to an hour and a half . Not sure how to improve this? I have tried to put her down earlier in evening (between 6-7) and working on day time naps. She’s also started talking for about an hour at 0200-0300 thanks!

Anyone else struggling?

I’m 10weeks pp and last night it’s just like everything hit at once. I couldn’t stop crying and today I’m on the verge of tears.

Last night I realised it has been about a month since any of my friends have messaged to check in. I don’t know if realising that just made me realise how lonely it can be on maternity leave. I miss working and talking to people and having a normal wage (currently on half pay).

And today I’m just exhausted. I just feel like I hate everything about myself. I hate my hair, I hate my stretch marks, I hate that I just can’t seem to eat healthier and just keep eating trash.

Breastfeeding

Frozen breast milk

Am I able to mix frozen breast milk with other frozen breast milk? For example I have a 100ml bag of frozen milk but baby needs a 200ml bottle. So can I get another 100ml bag and combine those to make a 200ml bottle?
