Is this a good gift?

I made one of these cardigans for my daughter and I have a friend who is expecting her second. Once she announces the name, I’m thinking of doing one for her, is it an ok gift?

Equally her eldest is turning 6, and I was going to do a cardigan for her too- is that a bit of a rubbish present?

Am I being extra?

For my first Mother’s Day I got flower from my husband that he bought at Costco when I was with him. I was kind of hoping a little more for my first Mother’s Day. I don’t know if I am being too much or not.

I was expecting at least that he goes by himself buy the flowers and maybe a card haha

And what I am supposed to give him for Father’s Day in that case? I love celebrating the people I love and it’s hard to not having the same.

Stickers for Plane

Hi guys, looking for some stickers for my son to use on the plane. Any recommendations for: stickerbook with pictures to stick stickers on OR not too sticky stickers so he doesn’t vandalise the plane lol

Teacher appreciation.

This is my first teachers appreciation week.

My daughter goes part time so I brought something on the days she went.

Monday — homemade cookies
Wednesday — mini sodas
Friday — something thoughtful (had my daughter draw something and I put a drink, snack my daughter picked and a tea candle.

I see a lot of fancy things online but I’m sitting here like gosh this was a lot and also gosh this wasn’t good enough.

Large birthday gifts but no space!!!

My baby has just tuned 1 and has been gifted so many large birthday gifts that we just don’t have space for in our small end of terrace house.

I am very grateful for everyone who has spent money on my baby but I just cannot store all of these huge presents (ride on electric car, ball pit, water and sand table, indoor trampoline, 4ft stuffed teddy, summer house and indoor climbing set.

We have a small garden, no garage and a spare box room that is currently used for storage. Our son’s bedroom is small to say the least and barely has room for a cot, wardrobe, bookshelf and dresser.

Unfortunately, we cannot afford to move to a bigger house due to our preferred living area (family and work) being expensive and me retuning on a part time basis means we have less money.

Previously, we had politely asked family to buy smaller gifts or give money for my son’s bank account. We could then buy 1-2 large gifts that we can store or save the money towards his future.

What do I do? I literally have nowhere to store these, let alone have the space for my little boy to actually play with them. I try to only store what we need but I genuinely cannot throw away anything to make space for all of these new gifts.

Are you expecting a ‘push present’ from your partner?

Just wondering what’s ‘normal’ for you, ladies, and if you have told your partner what you would like to get or this is not something you’re expecting or even thinking about. :)

Where I’m from the husband is expected to bring flowers and chocolates when he comes to take the mom and the newborn home, and have a present for the mom, a jewelry most often. They don’t need to give the present in public but it’s considered a sweet appreciation gesture which would disappoint the mom if skipped.

How are things in your family? In your culture?

Gift for older sibling from baby

Anyone already with a child, have you bought your first born a gift from the baby? If so, what? My eldest will be 2 years and 10 month old when baby arrives.

Best gifts for 3+

If you have a child who has already had their third birthday - what was the best gift they got? And I'm talking about stuff that kept their interest (even if on and off) for over 6 months.

What's on your little ones birthday list this year?

I'm really trying to get her things that are going to benefit her for more than just a couple of months and I'm coming up a bit short! What are you getting?
