Moms of uncircumcised boys

My son is not circumcised and I have been wondering what the future will look like when we are teaching hygiene..

Any mommas have any experience stories on how hard it was to teach them to clean the right way to avoid infection? Was it harder to pick up then if they’d have been circumcised?

I’m a FTM to a boy!

Thank you ❤️

Caught lying

I found tadalafil in my husband's work truck. The last time I was in here it wasnt there and now it is. He lied to me and told me they were for headaches. Im a pharmacy technician i know that 20mg of tadalafil causes erections. He then said they are old and he used them when I was pregnant because he wasnt attracted to me. I dont believe him at all. I keep thinking he's cheating on me. It's hard not to think he is.

Anyone ever had the coil fitted?

I’m 35 and expecting second baby in 2 months. I don’t wish to go back on the contraceptive pill as having been off it for 3 years now, my hormones are much more settled and my mood has been 100% better so for personal reasons the pill is not an option for me but I’m considering having the coil fitted, just wondering if anyone has any experience with it please? Good or bad.

the pill

Can anyone help? I’ve been on the Marvelon pill a while now, doctor said I can take it continuously without a break, but I keep bleeding on and off. I’ve tried the jab and Rigevidon before and had issues too 🥲 really hoping this does settle eventually! X

Non hormonal coil

Any mums with experience of getting the non hormonal coil fitted please?

I’ll be 14 weeks PP when it’s fitted next week, I’m breast feeding (not sure if that makes a difference).

Just wanted some experiences/ advice please? Weirdly considering I literally bought a child into this world through the sunroof, I’m super anxious about it!

I don’t want another baby yet but also don’t want any hormonal contraception! (Barrier methods are a no no).

TIA🥰

UK Mums... Has your midwife ever gave you back the pre pot (iykyk) and told you to empty it at home and reuse it for next time? 🤣

I had my 34 week appointment today and as usual they gave me a pot to wee in. After my midwife tested my urine, she gave it back to me with the pee lol and told me to rinse it out at home and use it for the next appointment 😂 I was a little taken back and joked with my husband that the NHS must be really hurting. I know it's my pee, I just had a good laugh because here I was carting my pee pot around in my purse at Morrison's

Mid wife VS ObGyn

Hi ladies.. I’m trying to decide if I should use a midwife or an obgyn. How did you make that decision? Who did you find most helpful/useful for you in your journey? Any regrets with your choice?

Birth control

I am 4 months PP and my baby is mainly on the boob with an exception of a bottle here and there. I tend to have a bit of an over supply and pump 10+ oz a day after EBF. My OB gave me birth control at my 6 week appointment and told me to start it whenever. I know you ovulate before you get your period but I have yet to get my period. I am scared of taking the BC and seeing a dip in my supply especially as I go back to work and start pumping more. We have been doing the pull and pray method in the bed room which I know is stupid but we have sex maybe once a week if that. Looking for shared experiences when hopping back on BC. I take a lot of pride in BF and would like to continue till my daughter is at least a year.

Pp periods products

What are all using for our periods after the 6 week check?

Very much a menstrual cup girly, but of course couldnt use it after pregnancy, my post partum 6 week check (8 weeks) was god awful, wasnt with a doctor, I had a nurse tick a couple of boxes, check BP and weight, get emergency contraception (oops) so I genuinely didnt get a chance to ask (so surprised at how bad it was this time compared to my first) but i genuinely cannot keep using pads, they just make me feel so uncomfortable in multiple ways, so have you ladies started using tampons, discs or cups yet?

Contraception after birth

I am just over 5 months pp and me and my partner have started having sex again but we are just using the pull out method which is very risky I know, I certainly don’t want to get pregnant again not yet anyway but I also don’t like the thought of going back on contraception but I suppose it has to be done. I have only ever tried the pill which affected my mental health so I don’t want to go back on that again, any suggestions that have worked well for you and not so much affected your mental health or hormones/irregular periods? I know everyone is different but good to know, I also haven’t started my period yet because I’m exclusively breastfeeding.

Contraceptive pill

I’ve been on the pill for 10+ years, prior I was on the injection for 5 years so all in all apart from 1 month where I then fell pregnant super fast I’ve been on some sort of contraception for 15 years. I’d like to come off the pill and be on nothing, however I have extent fear of falling pregnant (which I don’t want) Is there anyone not on contraception with an active sex life? How do you track cycle/ovulation etc? I’ve been with my partner for 10 years so realistcly we’re not going to start using condoms lol

Periods and holidays!

I haven’t been abroad in years and Sod’s Law I’m due on my period the day I go away. I have heavy periods that last for about a week so I’m absolutely gutted. Is there something my doctor can prescribe to either induce earlier or delay? Thanks!

Do you feel more depressed / out of it on birth control pills

I’m taking sprintec right now for a reason other than birth control but I haven’t been on the pill since 2019. I feel like I’m losing my mind and I don’t feel like myself, hardly happy, everything feels like a burden and I have way more anxious and depressive days… I have to stay on it until my cycle goes back to normal since I was bleeding for 7 weeks straight, but it would help to put a reason on why I’m feeling so strongly this way :,)

Contraception

I'm just wondering what people's experiences are with different types of contraception post partum. I was on the pill prior to having my baby but reluctant to go back on that. I did try the coil but that didn't agree with me. Any advice would be appreciated x

Birth control options!!

I have an appointment on the 12th of August to get an iud (mirena) and I’ve heard of the potential side affects like weight gain and acne, but will I 100% experience those side affects?

Whats your opinion on mirena and how has it affected you? Is there a better birth control option for me?
