Sex Walking a lot Bouncing on yoga ball constantly Did all these but didn’t pop until 40+2

I will continue to do these seems like the yoga ball was making her push down more hopefully it’ll work for me 🙏🏻

Sex lots of it!! The semen is supposed to soften up your cervix.

@Eva was just going to say this! Semen causes contractions too so it can help you along quicker

Sex Nipple stimulation like pumping.

Spicy food really helped

Do you have a belly band or can you get one? That may help with walking :)

I do! Wasn’t helping so I stopped using it but might give it another go

Acupuncture. My doctor swore by it. Said her patients that did it went into labor that night or the following day. I did it and it worked! Not at all as scary as it sounds.

Is it expensive and where do you go to get it done?

Chiropractor made a huge difference for my back and hip pain. I have scoliosis too.

I’ve been looking into it might give it a try!

I used birthing ball while expressing milk my waters broke a few hours later.

I was 38+6 x

How far along were you?

PUMPING. After I hit my 40 week point I tried EVERYTHING. And I mean everything. The last thing I tried was expressing breast milk but when I did I started contracting immediately and had my son three hours later. I feel your pain! You've got this

Thanks for the tips I will keep this in mind

I just had my little one on the 22nd at 37 weeks +3 days...I was over it and my doctor had given me the go ahead to start trying to induce my labor...he had plans to induce me this week with pitocin and I wanted to avoid that for sure lol...I had already known that I wanted to do the midwive's brew... that's what I did...made the brew at 8pm Saturday night...was admitted to the hospital at midnight and had our little stink at 10:12a.m....labor was smooth...out in three pushes... You should talk to your doc of course but mine ok'd me to naturally induce...this was not my first time using the brew for labor inducement...it was my second successful time and I also have friends who did it as well...🤞🏽

What is midwives brew? 😊

I bounced on a yoga ball (ps they’re great for working through those contractions at home!)

This best thing to do is just hang in there. I know its tough but you dont want to complicate things.

Clary sage oil, bath, pillow, essential oil burner, rub on bump x

Whatever you do do NOT use castor oil despite people saying doctors/midwives recommend it 🙄 It is ridiculously dangerous and can cause serious harm, if not kill your baby. I know people will tell me it’s their choice but read any information on it. Baby will come when they are ready.

Just Dance Dance Dance.. thats what i did... put a fast pace music on.. lock the door and dance away

I think maybe a trip to your midwife or gp would be a good idea take care of yourself mumma xx you've got this!

Midwives brew! Strong raspberry leaf tea and figure eights on a large exercise ball plus a lot of walking.

Sex...every day! It works

It doesn’t work for everyone but, I tried raspberry leaf tea and 8 hours later I was in active labor!

Sex, walking up and down stairs, and foot massage

*massage

I agree with the foot message. I used a foot spa at home with heat and vibration. My water broke a few hours later.. I'm not 100% sure if it was the foot spa that did the trick or if it was just time. I was 40 weeks and delivered on my due date.

I did acupuncture a few weeks leading up to due date. The Monday that my baby was due, she did a labor inducing session and by that afternoon I felt baby drop. Was in labor that evening and delivered early morning. This was my first pregnancy, so who knows baby could’ve been born a week past due date instead of one day early.

Sex for sure

Ask them to come out before you come in there and evict them, that's what I did before getting induced and turned out I was already 2 centermeters dilated when I got to the doctors so half the job was already done luckily

Long walk like 10 km but only if you’re used to. I went into labour at the end of my walk 😊 but remember baby will come whenever it’s ready.. I personally wouldn’t try to rush the baby out before 40 weeks.

Sex and walking! Works like a charm lol

Spicy foods, caster oil and pinapple

I’m sorry you’re in so much discomfort! Sex for sure, and swimming really helped for me. Good luck :)

I actually went into labour right after having Raspberry leaf tea. And I gave birth at 39+4days

I've heard of this tea and women using it to naturally induce labor. Thanks for the tip. You drink it hot or cold? Or it doesn't matter?

I drank it hot. It has to be brewed hot, but I think you can have them cold as well. :)

Castor oil really works! I know first hand and from other mamas

unfortunately not for all it doesn't :( it didn't work for me .

Sex. It’s the only actually proven labor inducer! My dr recommended it when I hit 40 weeks and wasn’t dilated at all. I instead tried everything else under the sun (bexauee I also had horrible back pain and could Barely walk). At 42 weeks and still not dial yes, I had sex ans boom. Next morning went into labor.

Orgasm... I was having a post orgasm nap at 38 weeks and my water broke 😂

Spicy food... I ate a hot Indian curry and went into labour 2 hours later and I was 4 days overdue with that pregnancy xx

Spicy food! I had a spicy Pho for dinner the night before my due date and went into labour at 430 the next morning.

Expressing milk and walking as much as I could ...

I agree to expressing milk... if you continue to stimulate your nipples like that, then it begins contractions. If you don't stop, then the contractions continue and can induce labor. The nurse told us at a birthing class for our first that we could briefly do this to see what a contraction but warned not to do it for long because it could start labor.

I beg you not to use castor oil I don’t know why people still do it knowing how dangerous it can be???

Nipple stimulation is the only scientific proven way to bring on labour yourself 😊

If you Google eggplant parm labour recipe it will come up. I learned about it in my hypnobirthing class. Apparently it really works.

Raspberry leaf tea and radox muscle soak bubble bath xx

Check out Evidencebasedbirth.com. She has articles on the natural methods for inducing labor and which ones have been shown to work. She also includes info on what’s not safe. One of the safest and most effective is eating dates, believe it or not! Good luck—I know how tough those last weeks are!!

Sex

Clary sage oil and a sweep 🤷🏼‍♀️

Where/ how do you the clary sage oil?

Some ppl massage it on their bump, I put it in my bath. Smells nice even if it does nothing! I did also try to walk as much as possible (difficult late on I know) and bounced/rotated on my exercise ball every day. Whatever it was, when I went for my sweep at 39 weeks I was already 1cm (as a ftm I think that's good? Had undiagnosed diabetes, so they were talking an induction otherwise) and the sweep worked straight away. Although I may have been about to go into labour anyway without the sweep? Who knows, but it worked

I think it was a coincidence, but I tried the "eating pineapple" route and my water broke less than 24 hours later! Ate two whole bowls of it 😂

Same for me! Worked both pregnancies x

For me I walked a lot pregnant with both my daughters and went into labor naturally that way and so I plan on doing the same for this pregnancy. Also, thinking about including prenatal yoga as well. Best wishes!!!

Both pregnancies I ate pineapple the night before. Quick labours with both too. Really recommend it xx

How much did you have? Weird question I know but I’ve spoken to some people and they said you literally have to eat tons of the stuff. Was you early ?

I ate a punnets worth, which isn't that much, and i didnt eat the whole thing with my second but my waters went very quickly. (ate it around 7pm, waters went at 2am) I was early with both, 9 days with my first and 8 days with my second. My midwife says it's worked for her also, but no, you don't need to eat loads. Just as much as you can handle hahah x

Sex and fresh pineapple!!!! Good luck girl!

Following

Mine was chiro care. Literally the day after I got into an adjustment my body went into active labor, since I was in early labor for three days

Personally i think the oils are bullshit. They didn't work for me and others i know. Ask for a stretch and sweep! That is proven to work. Just keep moving - walking around and stairs etc xx
