2nd baby : Sprinkle? Sip & See? Nothing?

Pregnant with my second baby and wanted to see what the more popular opinion was. Is it the norm to have a second shower but less involved? A sprinkle? Would you as a guest be more interested if it was held after the baby was born so you could meet her and see the new mom at the same time? Or should I just not plan anything? Not sure of the etiquette so I thought I’d ask!

I had a girl first, and my second was a boy. We have a really large family, so both baby showers were really big. My friends and family, wanted to give me a baby shower during both pregnancies. I honestly didn’t feel like it was necessary, but what most people kept telling me is that when the babies get bigger and ask you about their life, they will want to know about their baby shower and that it would be unfair to tell one that there was a shower for them but not for the other one.

I had a baby shower with my first baby and with my second i didn’t plan on having one but I ended up having a last minute gift card & diaper shower just to help us out a little

I didn’t really have a shower with my first (son) but I had a registry and got a lot of stuff from people. And now two years later I’m having a girl and had a large shower and about to have another one this Saturday

I def has a shower for my second and if we have another I will prob a sly do a sprinkle. My first was such a production and so many people have come and gone since then the more kids you have in my experience the more intimate you want the shower or sprinkle to be. I’ve only seen someone have a sprinkle with babies close in age or on baby three or four. But remember it’s your baby and you celebrate however you see fit, so whatever you want to do whether it’s big or small as long as you’re happy with it.

I would have a babyshower for a second baby except something smaller! I had so much fun at my first baby shower to me it wasn’t about the gift it was about celebrating my babys life.
