Hey mamas! I was wondering if anyone could give me a recommendation for which shampoo and conditioner to use that will keep my toddler’s curls moisturized and soft.

I would only shampoo once a week so it doesn’t dry out! Co-wash! Only use conditioner the other days. We love the Shea Moisture line! I’ve used since my daughter was about 1 and she has super curly hair (she’s bi-racial, and it gets dry easily) so the co-washing is amazing! Also , the Mixed chicks line is good. And Cantu products are great for frizz.

Thank you!!! I’ll try the Shea moisture and start co-washing too! 😊

Shae moisture shampoo and conditioner or Cantu products love those work wonders

Have no idea! But wanted to say what beautiful hair your little one has! ❤️

Also you can try using good moisturizers too! Like coconut oil is an amazing one! I’m mixed and it does wonders! 👌🏽 also using it before washing the hair as a pre poo is good too.

Little to no shampoo on her curls once a week at the most sulfate free paraben free shampoo for conditioner and curly products I love aunt Jackie’s line they carry at some targets or online like on amazon, also creme of nature products are great At Walmart and target

I just use organic coconut oil on my daughters hair.

Coconut oil is very good to use. Produces without alcohol as well are perfect for your little ones hair.

We sometimes use Cantu shampoo, conditioner, detangler and daily moisturizer. The detangler seems to work particularly well.

Johnson’s baby shampoo 🧴 Keeps my sons hair soft, shiny, healthy and hair smelling amazing!

Curly kids and natural oils

I'm a licensed stylist and I use diva curl no poo on my girls!!! Leaves the moisture but cleanses great!

I love Diva Curl 😍

I use Cantu leave in conditioner to keep the curl, and coconut hair oil for shine. Even a tiny bit of scalp treatment so her scalp doesn’t get dry. If you need pictures send me a private message. 🥰

As a fellow curly girl, either Cantu for kids or shea moisture for kids.

I use Shea Moisture for my daughter. She’s half white half black but only has wavy hair. I know a couple people with type 3 hair who use it and love it too. My boyfriend has type 4 hair and we just started trying out Cantu’s men’s collection. Both are great brands for a wide range of hair types!

TRY DIFFERENT THINGS FROM THE "ETHIC" HAIR CARE SECTION. ALL PRODUCTS WON'T WORK FOR HER HAIR BECAUSE ALL HAIR IS DIFFERENT BUT WATER IS KEY. WATER EQUALS MOISTURE SO DEFINITELY SPRAY WATER ON HER HAIR EVERYDAY AND BEFORE APPLYING ANY PRODUCTS.

I use Honest brand. Don’t think it’s in stores so might have to order in online. It’s chemical free and hypoallergenic. Supposed to be really good and smells like lavender!!

Baby Shea moisture

Hair Rules! You can find it at Ricky’s. Best moisturizing conditioner and awesome leave in products 💙

Honey Naturals works wonders! I found them via IG and they are based out of NY.

Argon Oil shampoo

I use Just for me hair milk for my son and it works wonders!!

I use anything that doesn’t contain silicones. I find they do make our hair dryer. I truly love ORS monoi oil line but I can’t find it anywhere except amazon (no “ethnic” beauty supplies near me 💔). That and wild growth hair oil. I use the loc method with wild growth and our curls are so on point! Also satin pillowcases

Comment only: beautiful head of hair Mama!

I second this!!!

Join the curly girl method group on Facebook for good tips! Don’t shampoo, just cowash. And don’t use products with alcohol or silicones. Comb when wet, don’t brush.

Curly kids creme and soft and free condition best thing ever!!

I use Shea Moisture in my hair and plan to use their kids line for my daughter once she's born. I swear by it for my own curls.

Not sure! We use Johnson’s baby for soft and shiny hair

You can also take your favorite condish, mix it with water in a spray bottle and use it as a detangler and for refreshing.

I use Shea Moisture for shampoo, and Carols Daughter for conditioner. Seems to work nicely, but I'm still figuring out after wash products
