Once the kids are asleep...

I know I’m not the only mom who does this.... Exhaustion is real ALL day and you can’t wait to crawl in bed & go to sleep! Once it gets dark outside you’re counting down for bedtime. it’s just that once the kids are sound asleep, you lay in bed and almost instantly the exhaustion slips away. Not in a sense that you’re no longer tired... but that you now have peace and quiet to do ANYTHING you want! If you want to surf your phone for hours, you can! If you want to take a long bath, you can! Or even indulge in some ice cream without having to share... So instead of getting the much needed sleep you truly want/deserve you stay awake. Just so you can do the things that are little harder to do with kids all day. 🥂 cheers to the nights we stay awake to feel like an individual. Not just “maa-maa” and “wife” 🍻 cheers to the nights we stay awake just so we can enjoy something that makes us who we are. .....we will regret it in the morning tho. 🙃

Yasssss and ditto on so many of these comments! Nighttime is my time - guilt free because everyone is taken care of and happy and dreaming... and I couldn’t possibly do any chores, that would wake them up!

Omg I LOVE this! Our little guy is on a set schedule to be in bed by 7:30 now and sheeesh it’s made a huge difference! However, he does wake up fully energized with the spring roosters! 😂
