Cancelling daycare

My son is registered at a daycare, but since he started going he has been sick every other week and we are now thinking of cancelling it completely, especially since i am a SAHM. My problem is when he was at daycare, i was able to achieve a lot at home and i was planning to go back to the gym…..i have always been athletic but not anymore due to lack of time! now i am trying to figure out a daily schedule..would welcome tips and tricks to go by the day productively while having my kid at home and not in daycare.

I see you’re in Canada, so what I’m talking about might be offered but under a different company or something. I use a site call care.com. (You do pay a subscription fee to use it). You can hire some to watch baby during the weekdays. You get to select the days of the week and the hours. So if I do need to go get my nails done, deep clean the house, run, go shopping or take a hard nap, I have my sitter come watch my son for 4 or 5 hours. ** the rate varies depending on the sitters rate and said qualifications. I know being home and having a sitter seems uncomfortable but I have learned to not even care. I’m sure you can find a sitter service around your home where someone can come and watch baby while you work out, or grocery shop, or just stay in bed for a few hours.

Yes! This is exactly what i am considering actually and we do have care here and other solely Canadian ones too.

Did you cancel? From my experience it’s really difficult to find ‘me time’. Only advice is try to do actitivies with your little one. Example food prep, laundry, cleaning. That was when they are asleep, you can do a home workout or have some ‘me time’, since many tasks will be done. Good luck👍
