At what age do you put a child to bed and observe from a camera?

Hi I have a 8 week old girl and was wondering at what age you put them to bed and come back downstairs and observe on camera? At present she goes upstairs to bed when we do. What age should I start this? What worked for you?

I did it since my son was a newborn , he used to be in his Moses basket and I put the camera on so I can get things done. Then from about 1 month he was in his next to me upstairs during the day to sleep with camera on. Then from 3 months his day time naps was in his cot and we watch with camera from downstairs . Same for night he would sleep upstairs for his bedtime routine while we have the camera on . He now 1 and I still do that for all naps and bedtime . I just leave him in his room with camera on. Best thing cause you get to do so much when they sleep especially during the new stages because once they turn 6 months onwards loooool well for us anyways the naps aren’t that long anymore 😂😂😂

Good to know thank you

I think they advise not to up until 6 months but many do beforehand and you just got to do what works for you :)

Once they were 1 year olds they were in there own rooms and in there own cribs with there cameras. I had no choice as I had back to back to back pregnancies! I do not put them in there cribs though until they’ve slept beside me and my husband and then I move them to there beds! I just want my babies to feel secure cared for and loved and there’s nothing worse then them waking up and you not realizing it during the night mom guilt is real unfortunately! They sleep from 9pm to 9am so something must be working 🙈
