Hi!congratulations! My children are 21, almost 19, 4 and 3 so I had a pretty big age gap too. It was very strange starting over but I found it much easier than first time round to be honest. So many things had changed- from what’s ok or not in pregnancy ( I was told to drink a half pint of Guinness every day for low iron by the midwife first time round 🙈) to sleeping / feeding/ weaning advice. The hardest part was getting people to understand that I didn’t know what I was doing! Everyone assumed because I wasn’t a first time mum that I knew it all- but everything I knew was wrong! I’m older second time around and think I’m maybe a bit more chilled out about things, and the older kids have a great relationship with the little ones. It’ll be good, don’t worry!xx

Can you imagine being to told to drink alcohol now!! Think about signing up to a decent parenting class too- I didn’t and really regretted it. It’s a good way to remind you of things and meet other local mums who will have babies the same age- I’ve really struggled with that, it’s harder to slot into groups of friends that have already been made, I think because I was older people assumed we wouldn’t really have much in common?x

Thank you.. yeah i was 18 when i had my first one and was told to drink Guinness too.. love a Guinness haha x yh my son is very hands on with his nephews and niece hopefully he'll help out too lol xx I'm nervous but excited too x

I have an 11 month old and a 13 year old girl. I have to say this time around is easier in some ways and harder in other ways.

The oldest in my family is 23 and the youngest is 3 😂 I think you just have a nice babysitter

My bro and sis and 14 and 15 years older than me. My sis in law has a 16 year old and 2 year old. I’m sure there are differences in what info is out there. But trust your gut. You’ve done this and can do it again!! Plus now you have a built in baby sitter! I loved when my older bro and sis would take me out and do stuff and I’m sure my mom appreciated taking a shower or having coffee in silence when we were all out. Good luck mama! You’ll do great!

I have a son whos about to be 24 my daughter gonna be soon 23 and now i have a 10 month old baby boy

My kids are 17 and 1. For me it is so hard this time around. I’m 38 and finding it extremely hard on my body, my emotions, basically everything. Going from having a career and my “own” life, to being a stay at home parent and giving up “everything” has been a huge adjustment. That being said, I love my daughter terribly and am so thankful I’m in a position this time to be able to stay at home with her. This world is scary! I’m not saying I hate it, because I don’t. And I’m not saying I love it. I’m just saying I’m still adjusting and that’s ok!

I have a 15 year old and a 4 year old. It is difficult because of the toddler and teenage problems at the same time. It will just make you stronger😉

My "stepson" (doesn't live with us) will be 18 and son is 1. Yeah, they will not be very involved in each other lives. We're okay with that. I consider my son as an only child. I have 4 older sisters who were 15+ years older than me. We loved each other but didn't hang out much.

Yes I do 22 and 18
