I did at camp Lejuene. Had a great experience. However if you’re already being seen off base by an OB, you’ll generally deliver where they have rights so not on base.
I delivered at fort Carson and fort Lewis. Neither were necessarily bad experiences. I got epidurals at both and the anesthesiologists we're both good. Most nurses and doctors were great and if you don't like someone you just need to speak up for yourself. If you're already being seen off post they might not let you switch mid-pregnancy anyway. If you are already getting good care I'd stick with where you are as long as you are covered by your Tricare Insurance. It is honestly really nice being able to give birth for $free.99 so it'd kinda suck if you didn't have full coverage.
@Aminat I am aware of that.. he wants me to just go to the navy hospital when i’m in labor
My husband was the same. But I toured out hospital and spoke with the nurses and I feel a lot better after doing that. Also, I’m not sure if your base has it. But base has a military spouses group on Facebook. I would maybe ask on there! Based off our bases page I would say 9/10 people recommended our base hospital which made me feel a little better.
I have for 2 of my 3. What hospital would you deliver at?
