Do people still rock their baby to sleep? Shes nearly 12 months old and still needs rocking to sleep for both naps and bedtime. Worried as she’s starting nursery soon…

And don’t know if they’ll have the time/staff to rock her to sleep but I really can’t see how else she will nap there!! Tried reducing the rocking and other sleep cues but nothing really works. She has always been a crap sleeper and wakes many times in the night.

I always feed my baby to sleep or he is pushed in the pram. I’ve worked in nurseries and they’ll definitely rock to sleep if needed. Or they’ll find their own way… back rubs etc

Yep I still rock to sleep for all naps and bed time! 🥰

Yes! Xx

Same here, still rocking for naps and bedtime

We still rock to sleep!!

Yes here too! My son has never slept well at night or self settled, i rock or feed him to sleep, or use the pram. When he started nursery they had to rock him to sleep but within two weeks they’d managed to transfer him to a bed for daytime naps! And he now sleeps long stretches there too. They definitely have their own magical ways of settling babies. I also think seeing other babies sleeping at the same time has had a positive effect on mine x

I rock to sleep for naps but bedtime he has a bottle then goes down his self. That's only been in the last month though

My little one is 11 months and has to be cuddled up on someone to go sleep if wakes up in the night have get her out her cot and take her down stairs cuddle her back to sleep she won't fall back sleep if standing up with her always has to be sat down cuddled with a blanket
