Baby bassinet near mommy & daddy’s bed or baby’s own room?

Our son slept in a bassinet from newborn to 3 months and then a pack n play 3 months to 6 months on my side of the bed. We moved him to his own room and crib at 6 months old. We started with naps for 2 weeks and then naps and night time after.

You might get more sleep if baby is in the room but every family is different. I personally needed to be able to hear baby breathing foe the first year. So, we coslept or made a bed for them in our room.

Slept next to me for first 7months because we are advised in the UK that 6months next-to-mum is safest, and baby’s room wasn’t quite ready. So we did 7months side-by-side x

Mine slept in a bassinet beside me for two months then moved to her own room and crib which helped both her and I sleep better. She's slept through the night since 3 months with no sleep training 🤷‍♀️

I keep my kiddos in a bassinet till 3 months. Then adjust to crib till 1. Then I move then to their room.

My son is 7 months and sleeps in a pack n play beside our bed. We keep waking eachother up though, so we are planning to move out of our 1bedroom apartment finally so we can begin the transition to his own room.

We kept my daughter in our room for 10 months. We'll keep my son in our room until he's at least a year since he has more contact needs and we don't have his room set up yet anyway

My babies slept in our room until they were two. She had a bassinet and he loves his crib.

I think it’s recommended baby sleeps in the same room as you for the first 6mo-1yr. I’ll be doing nighttime sleeps in our room. When he naps during the day, I’m going to put him in his crib in the nursery so he can get use to being in his own room. Hoping this helps him transition to sleeping alone in his crib at night after his first year.

I purchased a next to me crib so baby will be next to our bed for at least 6 months

I honestly have kept our son in our room (14 months currently) he was in a bassinet for the first few months and then I moved his crib from his nursery into our bedroom so he’s still near my side of the bed and I decided to put our daughters crib already in our bedroom and she’s due in February.

Humans are the only mammals that make their young sleep separately. I bedshare from birth with all my kids. Currently my 7 & 4 year old are in one bed & my 4 month old & I are on another (all in one room).

Do whatever works for your family :) our daughter slept in a bassinet next to dad's side of the bed because I kept waking up with all her tiny baby noises. She was in our room for 4 months. Then she started sleeping through the night so we moved her into her crib in the room just next to ours. We had 2 baby monitors in her room to make sure we would wake up if she cried but we eventually turned those off because our walls were so thin, we didn't need them.

In bed with me haha
