Thanks for the input.. 👍👍i will try pushing him up for nap earlier and see if that helps him in sleeping soon...
Hi! I’m a sleep coach and I can help you :). From what I see, first of all the nap is too late so he doesn’t have enough sleep pressure and this is why he takes an hour to fall asleep. I would highly suggest moving the nap earlier and ending at 2:30pm or maybe 3pm if he goes to bed at 8:30pm. For the rocking to sleep I would probably do it cold turkey now that he is old enough, and introducing a sleep training technique to help him fall asleep without your help basically. Hey Magalie! Thanks for your response... I just followed you on your Instagram handle 😊 What time do you suggest is ideal for his morning nap..i used to take him to bed at around 12.00 pm but he started skipping nap so often that i pushed it to late afternoon..He wakes up at around 7.30 to 8 in the morning.
Well since he is close to be 3yo (they usually stop taking a nap around 3yo), I would shorten it to 1h and see how bedtime and nighttime are going. So maybe 2pm to 3pm but definitely not later than 3
Thank you for the follow 🥰 @Rukhsana
Have you tried capping the nap? So maybe wake him up at 4 instead of 4:30 or do a later bedtime as I’m wondering if that last wake window isn’t long enough to build up enough sleep pressure to actually go down at 9pm? Or, if you don’t want bedtime too late maybe try pushing the nap a bit earlier in the day and then capping it around 1h30.
