Baby rolling on hardwood floor

Hey ladies! Looking for tips/ advise or products! My baby is rolling a lot and trying to crawl, such an exciting time! The only issue is we have hard wood flooring and he always rolls off the blankets we lay down for him onto the hardwood floor and frequently bumps his head on the floor, he doesn’t mind most of the time, but sometimes after a bump he will really cry, not sure if it’s the shock, or if he hurst himself! Looking into either getting a rug, or some foam mats to lay down to keep him from laying on the hard floor! What are my other June mummas doing in this situation? We have 2 cats as well so I worry about the rug getting dirty/ hairy and *shudder* fleas! My cats are deflead monthly so we do keep on top of it but I know how quickly one little blighter can affect a whole house (hence the hardwood!) Picture of my little pickle for attention 🥰

Omg what an absolute cutie he is 😍 personally if it was me I would buy those interlocking foam mats

I got my mat from the modern nursery. It was quite pricey but its really good quality. I hoover it anf then if it needs a deep clean just wipe it with milton spray 👍🏻

We have a totter and tumble mat, they're pricey too but very good quality, really nice designs and easy to keep clean

@Kelly second this. I actually don’t know how people do it without. We live on ours. Our in laws are getting one too. Ours has started crawling off it onto the wood floors though 😂 all good fun! But highly recommend We have two cats and they’ve been great with it. They claw up all our furniture but haven’t with the mat. They don’t even really sit on it. Just walk across it. And it’s so easy to clean.

Totter and Tumble all the way! We still use ours every day at over 2.5 years old!

Second totter and tumble! The designs are amazing so it doesn’t look like your bog standard ‘play Matt’ but a Matt you would want to have down in your home all the time. The thickness and quality is also unreal… you pay for what you get I think and it’s worth it! We have tried the interlocking matts but they broke off and got quite grubby quickly xx

We have foam mats, but she goes off it anyway and most of the bumps don’t bother her 😂🤷🏻‍♀️x

The matts are great! They fold, they're easy to wipe down, and they're really thick so no more bumping heads! I got mine off Amazon.
