I had a baby in june there and i was allowed 2 birth partners. So i had my boyfriend and my mum. I ended up in theatre so only my boyfriend was there but my mum come back after i had her but they were the only 2 allowed at all times, even to visit. I dont know if the rules have changed now but thats how it was in june x
I had my little girl beginning of October, was allowed my partner and mum as birthing partners, but they then had to leave as was outside visiting hours and then only my partner was allowed back during visiting hours only. X
I had baby there in November, I only had my husband and I’m sure there were only 1 visitor allowed on ward during visiting hours but they were like 9-7 or something, it was all day but only one visitor x
I believe it has recently changed to being allowed both your birthing partners as visitors on postnatal ward, but noone else.
1 birthing partner who is not allowed to stay overnight (only if you’re on labour ward) but once baby is born, they’re allowed only during visiting hours. X
Hey You are allowed 2 birthing partners had my baby there early hours of this morning (jan 8th 23) but only one of going for a section ..however if you are admitted for induction or to the DAU partner only and they are not allowed to stay overnight. After having the baby the postnatal ward, 2 people are allowed to visit at one time and no one is allowed to stay overnight .
Thanks everyone xx
I'm not sure but interested in any answers people have, I thought you were allowed 2 birth partners x
