My “close” friends didn’t get me anything from baby registry

hell I'd just ask the friend do u plan on getting something from the registry you never know until you ask some ppl go beyond and get things made for baby

@Brande I would never ask personally. I posted the baby registry twice on my personal accounts and they saw it and ignored it 🤷♀️
Girl same. My full blood sister didn’t even get me anything and we are close. Plus my sister and bro in law make well over $100,000 a year. Yes they have 6 kids, but still. 2 of my friends and my sister were pregnant in 2021 and lost their babies at 20wks. I had stuff for them before what happened. My mom got me everything. My aunt gave me stuff and got me something as well. My step nana with dementia is getting my baby something as well and 1 of my friends that I used to work with gave me a crib.
@Nessa like… is the thought that counts. I would be happy with a teething toy that is like 5$! I don’t understand people. I would have been the first to get them something if they posted a baby registry. And same! My family and my husband family got us 98% of the stuff

Me too. I had to buy most of the things on my registry. A few friends got me some things and then my parents and some relatives that I don’t really know got me some big ticket items, but the people that I considered really close to me didn’t get me anything. It was disappointing. Honestly, I would have appreciated just a message or something to congratulate us on our pregnancy, and they didn’t even do that. I decided not to have a baby shower because I didn’t think any of my friends would come, so I decided to just post my registry on Facebook after announcing the gender. Idk, it is what it is. Upsetting, but now I know who cares about me 🤷🏼♀️
@Miri my dads side didn’t get my baby anything. My cousin is pregnant with her first and I’m not going to her shower. I doubt if my mom goes as well. My baby boys last name is Prince since I’m giving him my last name. His father isn’t involved at all. I had a prince/princess theme baby shower and it was me my mom, my 4 kiddos and 2 of my kids friends. They rode with me. I was so upset, but I knew it would happen. I didn’t even want a baby shower. I knew no one would go.
@Nessa girl… some people don’t contribute in any way and then have the audacity of wanting be involved in the baby life 🤦♀️ luckily we have some family that is willing to help us. I also didn’t do a baby shower
It’s a weird time. But if they show up in other ways I wouldn’t think of it but if they aren’t being supportive keep them at bay
Same my “best friend” asked off for my baby shower and didn’t even come and she was suppose to get this specific gift only she knew I really wanted I just bought the gift myself and said to heck with her..still haven’t spoken to her
