Looking out the corner of eyes

Hi everyone my 22 month old daughter does this thing where she looks out the corner of her eyes I’ve googled it and the first thing that pops up is autism She’s had her developmental reviews both Gp and health visitors don’t see autism but still will look to the corner of her eyes She has great eye contact answers to her name still struggling with words but comprehends so much Has anyone experienced this can anyone give me some advice on what this may be Thank you so much

This is just normal. Not really a sign of autism. It means the muscles in there eyes is not fully developed yet it will be okay soon..

@Allyn Mae Cuerquis THANK YOU for taking the time to reply and for settling my nerves you’ve no idea how much I want to hug you for this comment coz I worry about everything

@Dijah Dijah aawwk🥺 we moms always worry so that’s okay🥰 hopefully everything will be all fine xx

@Allyn Mae Cuerquis my daughter does this at 6 months. Ive been so stressed abt it. Thank you for sharing. Do you know when they outgrow this?

@Farah i’m not really sure when. Since it’s different with every child.

@Allyn Mae Cuerquis at 6 months it’s normal for sure she’s still learning how to focus they will straighten out on their own when I saw my daughter doing it at 2 I began to worry but now not so much she doesn’t do it constantly it’s only a few times a day other than that she’s fine happy little girl so my worries have kinda gone down

Hi , my boy does what you described in this post. Is there any update? I feel a bit worried now. He's 18 months x

@Amy she stopped doing it…. The the first mum who commented was absolutely right it’s just coz there eyes ain’t strong enough yet she was trying to focus i guess but she’s stopped doing it and if she does it’s so rare my daughter is turning 2 now so give your baba til then I think you will find out he totally outgrows it like my daughter did xoxo it’s all good mama

@Farah update she stopped doing it…. She only does it rarely very rarely I’m no longer concerned :)

@Dijah Dijah thank you. Glad to hear, maybe its just a vision thing.

@Dijah Dijah thank you so much. Really reassured me. So happy xx

@Amy I’m glad I could google takes me down a rabbit hole so now I just ask other mums lol
