@Emma thanks for the info. Only allowed one birthing partner ? X
Yeah I was only allowed one person with me for the birth x
@Emma when was this if you don’t mind me asking x
They stay during labour and a little after. If you stay in the private room until discharge, they can't stay. If you get moved onto the ward, they've got to go home until visiting hours x
I had my baby on 25th September and had two birthing partners. When I was in, both could stay with me the whole time I was in my room on the labour ward. I was told that if I was transferred to the main ward with the other mums, visiting hours would then apply. The ladies on the triage desk are lovely. I would recommend calling them and finding out for yourself as the rules/guidance are always changing ❤️
My baby was born at 9.31 pm and my partner stayed with me in the private room until I was discharged at 5.30am the next morning. If they'd have moved me onto the ward, he would have had to leave until 8am but I was super lucky they gave me the option to stay in the private room (it was Christmas lol, so wasn't too full) x
@Olivia thank you! X
@Olivia thank you! X
I went in at 2am and baby was born at 4.30am. We got discharged at 11.30am and dad was allowed to stay the whole time. Was only one birthing partner then too x
My little girl was born 18th October at 22:46 and my husband stayed with me until we were discharged the next day :)
When we had our little one she was born 11;58 pm and he was allowed to stay till 4:00am and then had to go once moved wards and could come back at 8:00
It’s 2 birthing partners once you’re on labour ward. If you were to be induced it’s 1 person until you move to labour ward. Once you’re back on the ward after giving birth birthing partners can be there from 7am-10pm so anytime between that they’d need to leave x
I had my mum and partner both in the room throughout my whole labour. However I was in hospital for a week before I had my induction and was only allowed visitors during visiting hours. When my daughter was born, my partner was allowed to stay because I had to stay in my room on the labour ward due to the other ward being full and I was discharged after 8 hours
Hiya they couldn’t stay when I went in and it was silly o clock. Also only one You can ring them though x
