Forumla not dissolving

I’m using cow and gate reflux and the formula is stuck all at the bottom I use a prep machine and the powder is a lot thicker than normal formula Any tips? I don’t mind making them another way but I’m quite reliant on my prep machine I don’t want the faff of waiting for water to cool If babies can drink water at 6 months why can’t their bottle be a hot shot from the kettle and tap water?

Yeh we are on comfort formula which is thicker… there was clumps and lumps when made in the prep machine so unfortunately we couldn’t use the machine. I’ve just been making it the traditional way… sometimes I use the nuby rapid cool. Or I make a few bottles in advance, stick it in the fridge and heat it in a bottle warmer when needed. I know it’s not recommended this way but she’s nearly 6 months now and I’ve always done it this way without any issues- most of my friends do the same too.

I use a spoon or fork to mix in the formula

Do you have the day and night prep machine?? I use aptamil anti reflux & i found the same, so now all we do is put the hot shot in the bottle first (even tho it says to add formula first) I don't think it makes a difference and the bottles turn out alot better x

I was using aptimel comfort before finding out my boy had cows milk allergy and I did water first and add milk after with prep machine and was always fine but you do have to shake for a min x

Yeh so I was reading some stuff yesterday to say it needs to go in after the both bits of water as doesn’t do well in hot water even though thats what kills the bacteria x
