I have had 4 cancelled cycles and every single time I had to start my period so that we can start the new cycle. But every clinic can be different. Just keep in mind that they may change your medication so that your follicles can respond.
Thank you. They are keeping my protocol the same but upping my dose so all that has been agreed. I just wanted to check it was the first period after your withdrawal bleed that people usually start on as that is what they have said to me. I didn’t know whether you should have a full proper period then start on the one after that
At what stage did they determine that your follicles were not responding and that the cycle will be cancelled please?
It was on day 12 for me that we decided to abandon it
May I ask reasoning for your cancellation please? I feel like I am on the very edge of cancellation, yet the clinic still wants to go ahead…and it just doesn’t feel right to me.
There were not enough follicles at the right size to go ahead with it. I had one at 15, one at 17 and one at 22. It was my only NHS round and I needed a higher dose so makes sense to try again on a higher dose.
That’s what they did for me but each clinic is different and they may change your protocol which can effect your start date. It’s a minefield and everyone’s different. Sorry I can’t give a definite response x
