Clexane injections

My partner does mine cause I can't bring myself to do it but wouldn't want to risk getting a clot and either having to have them longer or be away from my baby in hospital ill...not going to lie I do dread it every night but some of my stomach is still a bit numb so I tell him to go there lol x x

It prevents blood clots as I take it I have a 6 week course I just don’t over think it I do mine myself and just stab it in my tummy and force myself to do it as doing it out ways not doing it

I hate mine and also don’t think I’m really at as high a risk of blood clots as they thought when they prescribed them. I’m up and about and walking all over having to take care of my toddler and newborn. I still force myself to do it tho. If I did get a blood clot, it could be fatal. I literally count down the days until the 6 weeks is over and I can say good riddance to the stupid things.

I'm low risk so only had to do them for 10 days and I cried almost every night because I struggled to psyche myself up (I hate needles!!!). But I forced myself. Not worth risking clots as they can be life threatening

I have 10 day course without having c section. Just do it. Pain vise. Sit down and do it. It helps .

Just grab the skin together and slowly push it in, it doesn’t hurt you can barely feel it, then push the syringe in slowly and don’t push the air bubble in at the end as that can have a stingy effect x

I’ve had them since the beginning of the pregnancy and also have to continue for 6 weeks after. There’s no doubt about it - they suck. They’re painful. It’s really important to do them though so try different areas to find what’s the most comfortable, pick a time of day and stick to it, and try rewarding yourself after the injection

Honestly I am the same! Haven't brought myself to do them either! And honestly forgot about them with everything going on!!

I had a 10 day course and really didn't want to do it but I managed to get the courage to get my husband to do it. I found the longer I put it off the worse it was so once I thought about it we just had to grab one and get on with it. If you pinch the skin really hard until it hurts, then get someone to do the injection that will help!

After 3 hours of being soft I finally did it🤣 got an ice cube on my belly first and it wasn’t too bad thank you all x
