@Ellen that's really helpful, thanks! Fingers crossed for you!
I told the clinic I wanted to go ahead with IVF 11/01 then I had to fill in a load of forms and get them checked by the clinic, they took a week to check then they emailed me to book in a planning call. All the below dates are provisional based on waiting for my period and how I respond to the meds ! Planning call booked in 26/01 (Period due on 30/01) They’ve said to call on the first day of my period (still waiting 🤦♀️) 31/01 blood tests for hepatitis B etc 19/02 take tablets to induce heavy bleed 6/03 baseline scan then start injections 20/03 egg collection 25/03 embryo transfer
@Sarah thank you! And I right in thinking you're on meds for about two weeks and then it's collection? Just trying to work out when I should take some annual leave from work 🙃
I had more scans, blood tests, and we needed a new semen analysis after the consultation, so all that took time (probably 6 weeks). And then we could have started the birth control pills the cycle after that, and then the cycle after that is injections and egg collection.
@Maggie yeah, they will track your hormones through bloods, i had to trigger on the evening of day 14 and had retrieval done early morning on day 16 of my usual cycle, transfer will be 5 days after if you are doing a fresh transfer. The toughest bit through out it all is the bit between retrieval and transfer as that’s when you get your embryo updates x
