I feel for you. Its tough when they are picky. My girl is picky.. I get anxiety thinking about what to male for both of us which she will eat. I cook for us but its hard as she won't eat the same as when at childminders or people's home. I almost cried tonight. She threw the food on floor. I ended up giving her go-to but still a no. Also doesn't drink milk n my breast milk is drying up. I'm in solidarity with you and here for the suggestions too.
Does Alfie still drink Milk? Does he have the recommended vitamin drops in his milk??.. I would suggest that first.. Also.. fish fingers and potato waffles are a safe food for him.. so I would offer both or one of those each meal time, so you know he’ll eat something and then each day add something else/different to the plate.. repeat the things he seems more interested in.. let him just play with it.. lots of encouragement. If he throws it on the floor, don’t stress.. take a deep breath.. and try again with the next meal time. He will get there! I promise!! Just think - have you ever met an adult that’s says ‘I only eat fish fingers and waffles?’
Solid Starts has some great guidance on toddler food refusal. Just know you haven't done anything wrong and this is a phase and it will pass.
