Bed time / sleeping routines?

My baby is 5.5 months and has established his own routine of falling asleep for the night at around 11pm and either sleeping through to 7am or waking once for a bottle around 3am, and then back to sleep until 7ish. When I tell people this they seem shocked that he doesn’t have a 7pm bed time, but even if I did get him to sleep at 7pm (I’d have to force it more with rocking/pink noise etc) I’m sure he would wake for more feeds ? What time do your babies go to sleep for the night! Does everyone else have a set bed time ?

Our little one doesn't have a set time. Just depends on times of naps and bottles throughout the day but he goes to bed any time between 6:30 and 8:30 normally. He sleeps through the night too 🙌

My LB goes to sleep anytime between 8-9pm sometimes 9.30pm depending on what we do during the day or if we go for an evening walk. As long as his bedtime is within the window we aren’t bothered.

We go up at 6.45 & the twins are in bed by 7.45 latest, we worked back bit by bit from 10pm as they were getting so tired and then the clocks went back so we just lost that hour too & went with it! I make sure they’re awake from their last nap by 5pm and they usually sleep from bedtime until 1/2 and then we get them up at 6/6.30 as we have school run and my husband starts work early!

Around 9.30 -10.30pm for ours. She has, on a few occasions, slept till between 8am-9am. But lately she's waking up in the night/early morning for a feed 🥴. I'm also wondering how on earth some people's babies manage to sleep at 7pm 🤔. I'm hoping this changes in the next few months as it's tiring to keep her entertained till late 😴

We do last bottle at 7pm so usually asleep for 7.30pm. We were trying to keep him up later as my husband doesn’t get home until 7pm but he was just spending all evening crying because he was tired 😭 all babies are different though!

We bath at 8 feed at 8:30, falls asleep about 9:30 then up at 6:30. He also naps really well during the day. It’s almost a routine but some days we don’t know our arses from our heads so it’s just pot luck 😂

I wish, my LG sleeps 8-10pm then she wakes up and is wide awake playing and squeeling like it's morning until 2/3am every night. How is everybody making baby sleep? Like when she wakes shes in a good mood, well rested and wants to play. X

I’m not bothered what time he goes to sleep. It’s never before 830 (his choice). Tonight he’s just gone to bed 10 mins ago as he had a late nap 🤷‍♀️ I don’t force naps or sleep. Once he is asleep, he sleeps through until around 8am x

Mine can be anytime between 6-7pm and she will sleep for 12/13 hours. No feeds in the night and she’s been like this since she was 7 weeks old. X

My son is the exact same age and bed time. He sleeps until 9-10am 🤷🏻‍♀️ matching our bedtime is what worked for us

My little one is 5.5 months, he has his last bottle and is in bed by 8-8:30pm, sleeps all night and wakes up anytime 8-9:30am. We’re very lucky with my little man as he won’t wake up demanding a bottle either, he’ll be awake usually half hour before even wanting a bottle x

Our little one is exactly the same!!

Mines in bed by 7.30 and goes through til 7.30. I was so scared to move his bedtime forward (it was initially around 10) but it actually improved his sleep so much. When I moved it to 8.30 initially he dropped his one night feed instantly

@Sam does she go back to sleep after a few hours for the rest of the night? If so this is called a split night and I believe is normally caused by too much day time sleep. I will call my little boy to 4hrs a day (I don’t always get that much) but all babies have different sleep needs so maybe try capping her naps a bit?

@Emma yeah, she goes back to sleep about 2/3am and sleeps until 8 (waking at 5 for a feed) she only has about 3-4 hours tops naps in the day and most of that is morning/lunch. I swear she's nocturnal 🥴

@Sam I think I jinxed myself as my little boy did this last night was up from 2.30-4.30am he’s never done that before 😭😭

Ah never! They must have swapped, my LG slept 11-6 for the first time ever 😅

@Sam haha yay congrats! Did you do anything different? Mine has a cough and cold at the moment so I’m hoping it’s just a one off down to that

Her naps were all different and she ended up with a early one meaning she was ready for bed earlier I think 🤔 ah no! Have you tried the calpol plug-in? Helps mine amazing x
